Review:

           Tharai Thappattai is a Tamil musical drama Movie, which is produced, written and 

directed by Bala. The Movie features Sasikumar and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the 

leading roles. Sasikumar was asked to shave his trademark beard and sport a thin 

mustache, to play a Nadaswaram player. He also underwent training with folk singers and 

dancers for a month. The soundtrack has been composed by Ilaiyaraaja based on 

karakattam. This Movie also happens to be Ilaiyaraaja’s 1000th film.
